Mixed Tapes

Always been a big fan of the mixed tapes - been making them for as long as I can remember. The oldest one in my possession is USB (Ultimate Summer Boredom), dated 1984. Usually made up of the latest and greatest being played. But also those special mixes made for someone else's tastes, or specific event - roadtrip, holiday, cover songs. Now, of course, the mixed tape is really called a mixed CD or mixed mp3s, or just mixes... But whatever they're called, i still love making them. They used to take a hell of a lot longer. Days or sometimes weeks figuring out what tracks, what the segues would be - and then making them. Obviously the LPs and tapes were time consuming, but even the CDs took a bit time. Now thanks to the joy of technology, in a few hours I've created the playlist, shuffled around the order and made the art work (truly almost as fun & enjoyable as just creating the mix!) ... Here's my latest.
